Highly trained employees are the key to excellent professional performance and standards. That is why the Militzer & Münch Group offers its own employees training and further education opportunities – from young talent to experienced managers.
The Militzer & Münch Group benefits from in-depth expertise spread across almost two and a half thousand employees worldwide. Working from the company’s headquarters in St. Gallen, Björn Dobelmann, Head of Human Resources, ensures that this knowledge is shared within the group and constantly expanded, in cooperation with the local HR managers.
“We learn from each other and invest a lot in our employees,” says Björn Dobelmann. “This starts with recruiting and continues throughout the employees’ entire career. We support our colleagues in their continuous development.”
Fine-tuning expert knowledge
Launched in 2025 were virtual training sessions for all employees, which address important topics from everyday logistics and impart the relevant knowledge. The approximately 90-minute training sessions are broadcast as video conferences via Microsoft Teams. They cover various topics such as hazardous goods, transport insurance, and Incoterms.
The development programs for managers, on the other hand, focus on leadership skills: The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a mixture of online and face-to-face sessions and helps the managing directors of the country units develop their own leadership personality, self-management, and team leadership skills.
The Talent Management Programme (TMP) promotes talented young professionals on their way to the top. The TMP benefits everyone involved, as the participants not only progress further, but also come up with ideas for improving the company, such as a proposal on how the TransInvest Group could develop a new transport route through Asia together with its subsidiaries – with the aim of increasing customer benefits.
Leveraging cross-border synergies
Militzer & Münch employs countless logistics experts who have a wealth of experience in national and cross-border transport, especially in demanding markets.
“Our country units offer a wide range of training and continuing education programs,” explains Dobelmann. The company’s HR network is working to make these programs available throughout the group. “Our customers ultimately benefit from the concentrated expertise that our company has at its disposal and that we constantly pass on to our employees around the world. This expertise is irreplaceable.”
