In 2025, the first managers from the Militzer & Münch Group participated in the Leadership Development Programme (LDP), where over a period of eight weeks, participants are provided with all the tools they need to lead their teams in the best possible way.
The Militzer & Münch Group employs numerous managers across many country units around the world. With the LDP, Björn Dobelmann, Head of Group Human Resources, has launched a development programme that helps to ensure a consistently high standard of personnel management.
In September 2025, the first group, consisting of thirteen senior employees from various companies, met in Istanbul. The focus of the multi-day meeting was on trust building, knowledge transfer and team building.
During the meeting, the managers dealt with two important topics: self-management and leadership of others. Across several modules, they were presented with tools and options to help them lead more effectively and establish a common leadership culture within the group. They work towards this goal in interactive workshops, engage in dialogue with their colleagues, and are encouraged to assess their own leadership qualities and create a personality profile.
“The ideal we are working towards is known as servant leadership,” says Björn Dobelmann. “This means that we teach our managers to view their work as a service to the team. A good manager should always be professional, have strong communication skills and have a genuine interest in the success and development of their own staff.”
The LDP will now take place annually, training a new group of participants over eight weeks with a mix of online and face-to-face events. Video recordings of previous sessions and feedback from participants will serve as the basis for the continuous improvement of the LDP from one year to the next.
