Starting March 1, 2026, Andreas Herzog has been the new managing director of Militzer & Münch’s Swiss country unit. The experienced logistics expert has been with the company since 2017 and has completed the company’s internal talent and leadership development programmes.

Before taking over the management of the company in Muttenz near Basel, Andreas Herzog was in charge of business development for transports to Greece and north-eastern Europe; he has been familiar with the Swiss country unit for many years.

Andreas Herzog is a graduate of both the TransInvest Group’s Talent Management and Leadership Development Programmes. Regarding the training content that has helped him most in his career, he says: “I learned to focus on the essentials and not to waste time on facts I cannot change.”

What’s next in Switzerland

From the Muttenz location, 15 employees coordinate transport operations, grouped according to destination regions in Central Europe, Southeast Europe, the CIS and the Caucasus, as well as the Maghreb. The most important customers come from the specialty chemicals, industrial, and consumer goods sectors.

The strategic priorities for 2026 are clear: “Our stated goal is to acquire new customers and expand existing customer relationships through cross-selling,” says Andreas Herzog. “Transport solutions for markets that require a high level of expertise and in-depth customs knowledge are our strength. We have a well-trained and dedicated local team, and access to a strong international network. This enables us to implement even the most complex projects for our customers.”
